Mr Sherief graduated in Cairo in 1991 and worked at Ain Shams University from 1993- 2002 reaching the level of Assistant Professor in Orthopaedics with specialist interest in spinal surgery.
His further experience in the UK from 2002 to date has covered all areas of Orthopaedics. His last 3 years of training 2010-2013 were purely in spinal surgery at the Royal Derby hospital and James Cook hospital in Middlesbrough. His fellowships have covered degenerative, traumatic spinal conditions as well as infections and deformities.
He has worked as an orthopaedic spinal consultant since 2013 with the main scope of my practice being in degenerative and trauma cases. He has a long experience in microscopic and mini invasive spinal surgery including discectomies, decompressions, instrumention and fusion as well as cement augmentation for osteoporotic fractures (kyphoplasty). He also does spinal injections for diagnostic and therapeutic indications.
He consults at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, Pinehill Hospital in Hitchin and Onehealth hospital in Hatfield.
