Private Plastic Surgery Services are provided for both adults and children, with outpatient clinics being delivered at the Lister Hospital, Hertford County and QEII and daycase and inpatient procedures being carried out at the main Lister Hospital in Stevenage.

The Private Plastic Surgery Service is lead and provided by a team of expert Plastic Consultant Surgeons; whose specialist interests range from routine to more specialist areas and who work collaboratively with the ENT and Breast Surgery team. Earfold®

Earfold® is a new treatment for the correction of prominent ears (bat ears, jug ears, sticky-out ears) in children and adults.

With this procedure, the patient is in the driving position as they can determine the future position of their ears, along with their surgeon, before the operation. It is less invasive than traditional surgery, with a shorter recovery, no bulky bandages and can be done under local anaesthetic in a few minutes.

The East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is the first NHS trust in the country to offer this procedure.

As most private hospitals do not offer surgery to children under 18 years of age, we are currently the only NHS Trust in the country who can offer this surgery to children and one of the few offering it to adults.

Our Private Plastic Surgery Service is delivered by expert Consultants with the full support of specialist nurses, therapies and critical care.

Private Plastics Outpatient appointments are available at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, QEII in Welwyn Garden City and Hertford County.

Private Inpatient and daycase procedures are provided at the main Lister Hospital in Stevenage.
